Pyro Safety

First and foremost, follow your local, county and state regulations for the purchase and shooting of pyro. Start with your local fire department or jurisdiction for information.

Do not mix alcohol or drugs with shooting fireworks.  Be a sober shooter.

Never hold lit fireworks in your hands.

Never light fireworks indoors.

Fireworks are designed to be shot on a flat, hard surface.  Here are some ways to secure your cakes:

  1. Tape them together to avoid tipping.
  2. Glue cakes to a board.  Spray foam is our preferred “glue”.  Be patient and let the glue set before shooting.
  3. Zip tie or tape to a stake in the ground.

Keep a safe distance from the fire zone.  Sparks can travel a great distance.

Know what effects to expect. Most pyro comes with a description or QR code link to a video.

Keep a bucket of water nearby or at least know your closest source for water.  Fires happen. It is in the name FIREWORKS and most of these products come in some form of paper or cardboard.

Be prepared.

Do not re-light or attempt to pick up a lit firework.
